Ihren früheren Beruf in der Pflege hat sie dafür hinter sich gelassen. „Wir wollten einen mediterranen Ort im Wedding schaffen“, sagt sie. Ihre türkischen Wurzeln spielen dabei eine Rolle, ebenso wie Eindrücke aus Reisen nach Griechenland und Spanien, wo sie die Tapas- und Mezze-Kultur für sich entdeckt hat.
