The first step of mending my hand sewn kirtle has been completed!
Should the first step really have been "sew around the edges of the rips" before I applied the patch? Yes, but I didn't think of that until the patch was already on. 😅
I'll deal with that tomorrow.

Jag försökte göra något slags sol-mönster när jag lagade denna skjortärmen. Syns inte så väl då tråden är tunn och hade varit snyggare om bottentyget också varit orange, men det håller!

Spouse handed me some shorts he uses for gardening and asked if I’d be willing to mend them. They’re quite familiar to me; I’ve patched the waistband so I could replace the button before.

I trimmed off the worst of the fringey bits on this hole, and then decided it had better be a patch instead of a darn, because that’s a pocket and his keys wore through, and I thought a darn might not deal well with keys.

I bought a pair of cotton/linen pants to wear to MIL’s memorial service because I didn’t have anything appropriate. The first day I wore them after that, the cat snagged them.

Of course.

I could have dug out the tiny latch hook I bought for sweater snags, but I thought I would document how to deal with it with needle and thread.

Some of the photos are a bit blurry, but I think it’s possible to see what’s happening.

Today I've fixed (sewn) two bags two laundrybaskets (yes, again 🙄) and a pair of pants 🙂

Give me all your best #MendingMonday posts everybody. Maybe you fixed a bug in a computer program, maybe you took care of the flat on your bike. I wanna hear about it!

Patched a knee in kid's sweatpants #MendingMonday #mending

Yesterday I had a good #mending run:
I sewed up a hole in the armpit of a t-shirt.
Fixed a hole in my knitted slippers, and sewed the cuff back on my coat (also sewed up the holes in the lining where a mouse got at it)! Not bad for a morning's work.

This evening it's back to my Star Wars scarf, which I've nearly completed the first page for!

Today, after a long hiatus, I got back to #MendingMonday .

I have three pairs of beloved sweatpants from the same manufacturer, all of which suffer from elastic waistbands that have stretched into uselessness. Today I opened up one of them, sussed out the situation on the inside, figured out how to fix them all, and put a temporary drawstring in one pair so I could wear them.

I am so looking forward to having these garments back in my winter rotation!

This #MendingMonday I finished mending the moth holes in my sweater vest #knitting WIP. Now I can start on solving its WIP problem!
