I thiiink I managed to not overwork myself today. I mean, whatever the case, work is over now in my book, so.

Bonus, a part of it was teaching spouse some rudimentary things in Photoshop for work. I'm by no means an expert, but I've been using it for a quarter of a century and can at least tell him how to tart up text for a logo.

S'about it for today really. I did some shirt surgery; I live in tank tops, but often the straps are way too long. And as great as my tits are, I'd prefer they stay covered, ha ha. So that's at least one new shirt that is cinched up. I've got a handful more of new ones that need the same treatment, but I'll probably forget until I put one on and go 'whups, let's fix that'. xD

I've been mending a really boring item - the dish/plate-drying rack at home.

But it's satisfying to do a water spray test and see droplets form, and stay as droplets, rather than soaking into the wood.

P.S. on visibly mending my favorite jeans ... I dream of being that woman who wears out the KNEES of her jeans in a cute, trendy way, but oh no, I have to be She of the Too Powerful Thighs. #visiblemending #mendandmakedo
I finished this sweater a year or two ago using mohair/silk yarn held together with a fingering weight merino yarn. The high neck was too itchy for me, and I generally hate turtlenecks (not sure what I was thinking when I made it)! I decided to cut the neck off and knit a short ribbed collar, without mohair. I didn't have any of the yarn left, so I found a coordinating blue skein of wool for it. Now I think I'll be able to wear it!

India also has a complex and highly contested privacy regime, which is in extreme flux between high court decisions, regulatory interventions, and legislation, both passed and pending.

Finally, there's India's long tradition of ingenious technological adaptations, locally called #jugaad, roughly equivalent to the English "#MendAndMakeDo."

Finished my patch for #MendAndMakeFriends on insta, and I’m quite proud of it. It came out really how I envisioned it. It feels like a cherry tree to me :)

A little seed stitch darn for an old, thinning wool sock. I find darning to be a great activity for meetings where I need to be focused, but not typing.

Also, my fave tool for darning socks is a mason jar. It acts as a darning egg but you can hold it up to the light to see what parts are thin and need reinforcement!

Even the tiniest hole and the tiniest effort may have impact. Every stitch is a step forward on the road to a more sustainable life where respect for the life on this planet is stated. The very first thing we should learn. However, what we learn is to stay in line, be successful, earning lots of money to make others earn lots of money and keeping up the economic growth rate. Growth rate for whom? Actions and consequences. What consequences do we wish to see? I believe in the power of mending. Seemingly insignificant actions may bring about the change many of us strive and wish for. We make our own choices and use our own power. Consumption is a good one to tackle - by using our own consumer power and not consume. #climateaction #fridaysforfuture #lagningsaktivism #lagningsaktivisterna #visiblemending #makedoandmend #mendandmakedo #lappaochlaga #mendtheworld #buyless #buynothing.
