I got so close to beating Megaman X tonight... I got to the third stage of Sigma's fight and then he beat me.

He feels like such a cheating boss!

I gave up for tonight and the sucky thing is that next time I will have to do all the last levels again from the start!

I wish the Legacy Collection had a save state option like the emulators do. /sigh

The silver lining is I never got this far in the game. So there is that.

One of my pet peeves from when I played the original Megaman X was that I never got the Hadouken upgrade.

Back then I thought they just cut it from the western version as doing so was pretty common. But turns out that the magazine with the info was wrong. It said it was in Chill Penguin's level. In reality it is on Armor Armadillo's level!

Anyway, it took a few decades but I finally got it! Now if only I could do Hadoukens consistently... 😆

One interesting thing about replaying Megaman X is how bad my memory is of the game. The levels are much shorter than what I remembered from my childhood.

Then again considering how much I am dying and having to repeat it makes a lot of sense and it is much appreciated. 😆

On a whim I decided to play one of my loves from my youth.

I wonder how far I will go. Probably not very far since my skills are much worse than back then and I was already not a very good player! 😆

On the plus side my english is much better nowadays. So I can at least understand what little story there is! 😆
