MASTODON FOR IOS BUG?
Can you please try following: go on the News tab in the search function of Mastodon for iOS, scroll down all the way until the loading circle appears, and then wait... Does your app crash, too?

I think the thing that’s keeping me from being as active on the Fediverse as I would like to be is that I can’t find an iOS Client that doesn’t have at least one major drawback.

#MastodonforiOS doesn’t let you post animated GIFs
#Tusker doesn’t have Push Notifications
#IceCubesApp doesn’t make links distinct touch targets that you can long press to open the action sheet (for copying, sharing, adding to Reading List etc.) and sometimes the post composer just randomly fails to work

@marlenee Jeg syns det er digg med flere apper fordi da kan jeg være på litt forskjellige steder (tider?) i feeden samtidig... også er de litt forskjellige på hva de gir av kontekts... i #Mona ser jeg alltid den tuten noen svarer på... ofte greit for å forstå hva som blir sagt… #Ivory er penest. #mastodonForiOS #norskTut

It's great that so many people are working on alternative #Mastodon apps, but don't forget the official app is open-source, which is a huge advantage compared to how it was on the other site. Many people start off with the default app, so a great experience there, will help the platform. #MastodonforiOS #Ivory #IceCubes #Mammoth #OpenSource
