I’ve been having issues with the official Mastodon iOS app for a while now, maybe since iOS 26. Images not loading, feed not refreshing, reach the bottom of the feed and the spinning wheel never stops/loads. Profile pages not scrolling correctly. I finally switched over to #Metatext and it seems to be working much better. Anyone else having issues? #Mastodon #iOS

Feditext beta users: version 1.7.2 build 145 fixes an API decoding issue with media attachments that can prevent posts and timelines from loading. while this could affect any Fedi server, it was happening more frequently in the current GTS RC. that's likely to be fixed by GTS in their next RC.

also, we forgot to announce it 😅 but previous build 144 fixed the Open in Feditext share sheet action on iOS 18 and 26. it should now work for any iOS version we support (15–26).

Feditext beta users: version 1.7.2 (build 143) disables some aspects of Liquid Glass as a workaround for the layout weirdness with the post composer controls. it should affect only iOS 26 users.

So, I decided to fork Metatext on iOS #metatext #metatextapp. I couldn’t handle dealing with all the NSURLErrors I got from certain servers (I have a single user instance that runs in #GoToSocial) I updated to modern tooling, fixed a few bugs, and even made a few enhancements. Check it out!

Könnte wirklich am Client liegen, wenn ich das richtig sehe, wurde #Metatext schon länger nicht mehr gepflegt.

Und es gibt ein offenes Issue, das wohl nie umgesetzt wurde:
