@mjg Filtering would be interesting, yes.

I've primarily been missing prioritizing toots with many likes/boosts since the day I left Twitter for #Mastodon. I know the activity echo chamber is what makes social media horrible.

But a 100% chronological #timeline isn't what I want either. I daily feel the pressure to scroll through my entire feed (!) because some hot stuff could be buried below 90% rather mundane posts.

Will people start developing plugable algorithms that could compete for the ordering Mastodon feeds? (And more broadly, ActivityPub feeds)

Anybody aware of existing proposals in this space?

Someone with the Github handle Cassolotl published a chart on the anatomy of Mastodon feeds. Their work is meaningful and invaluable, but as a designer I felt we needed something more aesthetic so I created this alternative for sharing. Mein Twitterfeed ist nicht Toxic oder schlecht. Ich folge Instituten, Wissenschaftlern, anderen schlauen Menschen, und ein paar coolen Studenten die fachbezogenen Humor haben und in meinem Alter sind.
Aktuell ist mein #Twitterfeed sogar noch attraktiver als mein #Mastodonfeed.
Trainiert ihr die Twitter-Vorschlags-KI auch bewusst? Ich versuche mir irgendwie den Unterschied zu erschließen...
