These images capture the industrial decay and rich history of Mare Island, the place I call home for my studio. The rusted mooring bollard stands as a quiet witness to the shipyard’s nautical past, while the weathered bolts and frayed cables speak of decades of hard work and ingenuity now frozen in time. The exposed electrical panel, with its corroded components, tells a story of naval innovation now surrendered to the elements.
