Cool #mailbird für macOS ist endlich in Beta! Leider ist die neue Version mit Electron gebaut und mal eben 30x so groß wie Apple Mail mit entsprechend langen Startzeiten und schlechter Usability :/

Afternoon Twters, and how nice it is to see the sun at last!

The new #Outlook is awful - I'd never liked it, but now it's stopped fetching new emails unless I close it down completely and relaunch it. So fuck it, I've gone over to #Thunderbird for my laptop (I use #Mailbird on my main, but you can only have that on one machine). Am feeling my way around, but it seems very usable.

Dinner with a friend tonight, and then rest day tomorrow. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! 😘

#Mailbird lifetime plan isn't #lifetime at all. It stops right now. You''l have to pay for the upgrade and pay a yearly fee for "lifetime"
Time to step over to #Thunderbird: free, open source and more feature-rich.

what is everyone using for an #EmailClient these days? The #gmail interface seems to be languishing a bit and I'm thinking an actual client application might be nice.

Couple options I'm seeing are #postbox, #mailbird, #mailspring, #sparkmail and #thunderbird.

I've used thunderbird on and off over the last 15-20 years.

I prefer #Open Source (!=free) options but if a closed, commercial app soars about all others, I'm not philosophically entrenched.
