@andy I usually listen to #ThisWeekInTech and #MacBreakWeekly, by @leo , and I’m sure @macsparky will have something to say about it in #MacPowerUsers even when it’s not about news/events.
Give them a try.
This is an app that solves one of my main annoyances with macOS. I have multiple possibilities for output and input sound sources for my Mac and I do HATE having to fiddle in the macOS Sound applet. The SoundSource app from the awesome devs at @RogueAmoeba.
I discovered the app through the #MacPowerUsers podcast and immediately purchased a license. This app is exactly what I wanted to manage my sound sources!
Please have a look, you will not regret it!
A while ago @macsparky recommended this Anker power bank, and it’s on sale.

In the past month or so, every time I listened to #MacPowerUsers, I’ve had half of a thought stuck in the back of my mind that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.
I’ve finally figured it! Stephen speaks like Noho Hank from #Barry in #HBO !!!
I mean, it’s not the same voice/timbre. But they share the same mannerisms, cadence, and a similar accent!!
Hey David, @macsparky is it a regional California affectation/accent?
This week, David and Stephen grab their lassos and gather up some of the best Safari extensions out on the free and open range of the App Store.
@macsparky I enjoyed your write-up about start-up and shut-down routines in #TheSweetSetup! You’ve mentioned bits of this over the years on #MacPowerUsers, but having these details all in one place is great.
Organizing my day is a struggle for me—which makes sense in light of an ADHD diagnosis about three years ago. I’m looking forward to reattacking this using this article as a roadmap. Thanks!
Reading up on #Discourse hosting for the likely upcoming actions.work forum, which I plan to offer as a watering hole for people who want to share tips & tricks for my macOS/iOS apps as well as my #Obsidian plugins.
I thought about asking #Automators or #MacPowerUsers for a sub-forum, but I have apps planned that do not fit that mold.
Plus, I guess as long as you can use your GitHub/Apple/Google/FB account to log in, it's not that much of a hassle.
