Went 2-1 at Modern tonight:

Round 1: 2-1 vs Izzet Eldrazi. Lost of mulligans on both sides, I won largely off of my opponent's Yggdrasil, Rebirth Engine constantly whiffing.

Round 2: 1-2 vs Azorius Affinity. Shadowspear on Karnstruct is bad for me :( I wound up opening a Roiling Vortex in Game 3, but my turn 1 Goblin Guide found a Force of Negation, so the Vortex stayed in hand.

Round 3: 2-0 vs Gruul Eldrazi. Opponent struggled to deal with board + burn. Pulled Trinisphere from the sideboard with Karn in game 2 but didn't play it; did get and play Engineered Explosives on 1 and Chalice on 3 (????). Confusing match.

Went 2-1 at Magic tonight.

Round 1: Bye
Round 2: Lost to Yawgmoth. Crushed game 1, didn't draw enough lands in game 2. Game 3, I got close but couldn't quite win before my opponent assembled his combo.
Round 3: Won against Affinity. Game 1, drew lots of bolts. Game 2, pushed for damage with Slickshot Showoff and topdecked a bolt to win.
