NIX 42124 Progress shots.

Pretty big difference from the last post in this piece. But I've never done progess shots and do not think about them at all while working.

This was the final wiring test. Power will come up through the feet so that there are no wires attached to the piece. Nix's base will supply 48vdc. That comes up to a small buck to to drop it to 12vdc (6a). From there it splits to a 5vdc 5a for the vid player, the screen and speaker. The 12v also feed the body lights.

This point in any piece is one that I approach with pride, confidence, and fear. Along the way I'm always thinking this is the route and the wiring. I test all components prior in the final config then it all gets cut, spliced, feed in its route, all that. So by the time I get here I'm sure I did it right, I'm excited to see it come to life. And I am terrified something will be completely fucked up.

I'll do some more aging/wash/texture tonight. Tomorrow the feet get their magnets, final wiring, paint, etc. The base wil also get completed. This weekend full shots and pack it up for next week.
