Elk jaar gaan we op 1 januari naar de bioscoop. Dit jaar was dat naar Wil de krokodil (oorspronkelijk: Lyle Lyle crocodile). En ik kom nu pas toe aan een recensie. En ik moet constateren dat de film geen blijvende indruk heeft achtergelaten, in tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld de musical Matilda. De verfilming van het boek dat ik nog niet kende is leuk gemaakt, grappig en levert een gezellige middag bioscoop op. En voor Javier Bardem een interessante rol na wat ik eerder van hem zag. Maar geen blijvertje.

Beoordeling: Een vijfsterrenmusical is een verrassende beoordeling, want ik hou niet van musicals. Maar Matilda the musical is verrassend, leuk en goed gemaakt. Het verhaal van Roald Dahl is wel behoorlijk aangepast voor de musicalversie, die eerst in het theater is verschenen. Maar de aanpassingen zijn mooi ingepast in het verhaal, zoals de manier waarop
A pleasant surprise, #LyleLyleCrocodile made me smile, a lot. It might be the perfect film to snuggle on the sofa.

I watched last year's LYLE LYLE CROCODILE (2022) and it's exactly the movie it looks like. Heart-warming family movie about a singing/dancing crocodile. Basically Mary Poppins.
The problem is that every song sounds like the radio crap when Fun had their hit song Some Nights. Also an America's Got Talent type show is also part of the plot.
If you've ever seen a movie before, nothing that happens will surprise you, but I had a good time.
