I am missing a subwoofer. But still… if I had one in my small studio room, the wavelength of almost 7 meters for 50Hz wouldn't fit between these walls.

Turns out however, other people delivering audio to me have this issue, too. 😜 (Otherwise the person would probably have removed the rather useless 50Hz tone here.)

It's not that I wouldn't own subwoofers, but these 4 units of almost-vintage ElectroVoice 15" 800 Watts can't do their thing even in my large storage room… yet when set them up in mid-sized venues, they always feel like the inspiration for this song… “I came in like a wrecking ball“

Trying to do kick drum triggering on #Linux using #LinuxStudioPlugins #TriggerMidi and #BlondeBopDrumkit by #x42 / @x42

There's a little trick to this, the latency compensation somehow does not fully work. So I need some plugin like Artificial Latency (Steve Harris again) to compensate for it.

But in the end it turns out that I can't rescue that kick drum automagically. When the drummer plays softly, it sounds too muffled. But exactly when he plays softly, I can't trigger properly either.

This is only my second attempt ever at triggering drums, the other one was a cajon that sounded so completely crappy with the "bass drum" sound I had to throw it away.

Oh and Linux? That's not really the topic here, you'd fail with every other trigger tool on every other OS with this.

This was my first decent, proper go at @ardour on #UbuntuStudio
...its just a dirge of effected guitar jamming through the Line 6 Helix. Now what is weird is how the Helix isnt class compliant (as far as I know) ..which means someone with the UbStu developers is using the Helix.

Anyway, nearly 7 minutes of me making a fool of myself on the Palm Bay.

User contribution is now easier than ever!

When mouse hovers over a plugin/app, an edit icon appears in the upper left corner. Press this takes you to a page where you can suggest edits to the data.

In the burger menu there is now a new item [Add plugin/app] which takes you to a page where you can suggest new plugins/apps.

Take a look at the attached screenshots.

Contributions are most welcome, don't be afraid :)
