To anyone in @Mastodon,
@mastodontech.de, or #mastodontechsupport,

I have attempted to replace #firefox with at least two #browsers and have been completely unable to #loginto Mastodon each time.

I log out of mastodon in firefox, type in the exact same url (mastodon.online), type in my the exact same #emailaddress, then the exact password on my account and I get THIS (EVERY TIME):

I have tried to log onto #Mastodon on #Librewulf TWICE and both times librewulf or mastodon insisted that either my #email or my #password didn't match.

I then went onto mastodon in #firefox, and in my profile confirmed that my listed email and password are EXACTLY what I tried to sign in.

If you want people to give up firefox, it would help if the few of us NOT code wizards could use the alternatives.

tl;dr: they removed all their language about how they promise not to sell your data, now they just tell you that you're protected from other people selling it badly

#librewulf: i tried them in the past, but got mildly annoyed that they actively refuse to support dark mode. FUCK IT, WE LIGHT MODE NOW BOYS. something something "vim is for those on the dark side. emacs is for the enlightened."
