A little trip abroad to see an American wader / shorebird this morning. Very close views of this #LesserYellowlegs as it was strutting its stuff in the middle of Truro #Cornwall The local Redshanks didn't seem to like it though. It was even sunny (although a little windy).

Yellowlegs: A Study in Contrast

I find this image captivating because it features a lesser yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes), the smaller bird on the left, alongside a greater yellowlegs (Tringa melanoleuca), on the right, together in the same frame.
