I want to try discussing Taiwan's political issues using Kialo and systematically presenting and organizing different viewpoints with evidence.
Today (21st), the #LegislativeYuan of the Republic of #China on #Taiwan voted on the #parliamentary #reform reconsideration proposal. The final vote count revealed 62 votes in favor of "upholding the original decision of the Legislative Yuan, thereby opposing the reconsideration proposal," and 51 votes against "upholding the original decision, thus supporting the reconsideration proposal."
At the same time the citizens of #Taiwan are voting for the #legislativeyuan, which is the country's parliament.
Bit of a complicated #election, with at-large candidates getting part of the seats depending on party strength and the majority of the seats being decided in single-seat districts by first past the post voting, which heavily favours both #KMT and #DPP over all smaller parties.
Turnout is expected to stand at about 70% - not too bad seen there is no way for absentee/early voting. 2/2

Really, #KMT? Have your legislators been throwing pig entrails at #DPP legislators in #Taiwan's #LegislativeYuan to protest the import of US pork?
That's a new brand of disgusting. There really is no low that is low enough for the parasite known as the #KMT that is still leeching off the economy of the country.
