Today (21st), the #LegislativeYuan of the Republic of #China on #Taiwan voted on the #parliamentary #reform reconsideration proposal. The final vote count revealed 62 votes in favor of "upholding the original decision of the Legislative Yuan, thereby opposing the reconsideration proposal," and 51 votes against "upholding the original decision, thus supporting the reconsideration proposal."

At the same time the citizens of #Taiwan are voting for the #legislativeyuan, which is the country's parliament.

Bit of a complicated #election, with at-large candidates getting part of the seats depending on party strength and the majority of the seats being decided in single-seat districts by first past the post voting, which heavily favours both #KMT and #DPP over all smaller parties.

Turnout is expected to stand at about 70% - not too bad seen there is no way for absentee/early voting. 2/2

If you're wondering why the #KMT would install CCTV cams in the #LegislativeYuan back in 2014: Go search the internet for the #SunflowerMovement and #civilunrest in #Taiwan.

Yes: The KMT pooped its pants back in 2014 and installed those cameras based on fear of Taiwan's populace.

Sadly, the KMT still acts like an occupational force and a parasite. And it still tries to sell the debunked #1countryt2systems model to Taiwanese, despite #HongKong having been fucked over by #China in #public.
