I am ready to expand my bass playing. I will be keeping my Artist PB2 LH. It keeps in tune really well during practice and I have made a number of adjustments (and soldering) to keep it working.

I spent an hour with this left-handed PJ beauty.

I have been waiting all year to it to come in. I spent an hour exploring the tones and trying different styles. 5 string does means more muting work. The B string makes some serious bass notes I have never made before. When I get back from OS, I will try it with my own amp for a proper comparison. The setup out-of-the-box was playable. I did point out the intonation needs work, and they will be fixing that.

I have one large fault with my Artist bass. Slapping is next to impossible. I thought it was me. The Schecter slaps hard :D

As a lefty (as in, left-handed), I have tried numerous ways, since I've learned to write, to avoid the dreaded smudges.
Who amongst us hasn't experienced the side palm dirty with ink and the writing on the page smudged beyond recognition?
My uncle used to write from the top of the page, wrist bent at an uncomfortable angle, nearly writing upsidedown.
My own solution? Hold my hand and pen 'normally', but put my paper sideways, my arm more or less parallel with my torso (depending if I'm writing with table support or not). No smudges of any kind and no (additional) wrist pain. It's garnered weird looks, but if it works.... /shrugs

How do you, fellow lefties, avoid the smudges?

adventures in left-handedness:

i found out today i cannot use
my right hand to insert a key into a lock.

i tried to do it because my left hand was occupied but it was like my hand was drunk and just couldnt figure out *how* the key was supposed to get in there.

its very odd finding out what my right hand cant do at almost 50.

Real consideration:

This checklist is for an orthopedist. It's good for the doctor to know: being left handed does bring with it orthopedic considerations in a world designed for right handed people. Although, "Disease History" is probably not the best terminology for the checklist
