I like making things and witnessing other people make things. Myself I do #EmbeddedDev and #Programming alongside a fair amount of writing and TTRPG design. Dipping my toes into pixel art and eurorack modular synthesis.

I am actively trying to curate a feed of people who make things, build worlds, and spread peace.

(I still don't have a good intuition for thermal power like I know roughly what a watt, a joule, and a horsepower are kinetically but once heat gets involved s'all black magic fuckery.)

TIL that with the right refractory ceramics you can melt glass in the fucking microwave.

This shouldn't surprise me because my microwave is rated TWO FUCKING KILOWATTS but it's not intuitive.

"But I saw Rogue One and I hated Cassian Andor"

Great, I did too, you'll fucking love the show.

I'll maintain this too: Andor was the closest disney came to Star Wars flavoured Star Wars.

My "favourite starwars projects" now goes, like, The Original Thrawn Trilogy Novels, Empire Strikes Back, and then Andor.

You can't really follow up "we're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die" and "I am the righteous hand of god; and I am the devil that you forgot" with "If I could do it all over again, I would wake up early, and fight these bastards from the start"

Youtube is trying to make me a terrorist.

They just interrupted the "my mix" of mostly protest music with Maarva Andor's autoeulogy from the end of S1 of Andor.

We're back in the lab! Live now for office hours, mostly doing writers sprints but if there's time we'll look at some practical bookkeeping too.

@patcharcana Yeah but the people selling terraforming fantasies also want to burn down the earth and save only their chosen people.
That's not to say you should never terraforming things I'm just a big fan of "put the fires out before you start building the new cabin" as a general rule of work ordering.
This is your reminder that any geoengineering technology with the potential to terraform a world could also be used to restore the equilibrium of this one.
