I like making things and witnessing other people make things. Myself I do #EmbeddedDev and #Programming alongside a fair amount of writing and TTRPG design. Dipping my toes into pixel art and eurorack modular synthesis.
I am actively trying to curate a feed of people who make things, build worlds, and spread peace.

I don't have the patience to get as good at flight sims as I would want do but boy do I enjoy the commentary from Tabs_Original on youtube.
"I celebrate 500 thousand subs by touching grass and nearly starting a fire. Meanwhile, my opponents now-missing wing means the grass gets to touch him."
enemy crashes canopy-down, mashing the pilot model against the grass
Crusader solo who's only objective is to destroy the entirety of night city.
Call that Franz Ferdinand.
That's on me I guess but I just can't wrap my head around what to practice here.
You want to learn to play the piano, you teach yourself to sight-read and start learning the fingering.
You want to learn guitar, same same, sabe.
You want to learn this shit? Good luck, nobody else knows what they're doing either.
(I am aware many modular players have produced video series about this and I've consumed many of them but at the end of the day I'm just twiddling knobs looking for The Good Sound and then struggling how to preserve information (and WHICH information) so that later when I want the good sound I can have it again.
I could absolutely patch up my own generative ambient for the afternoon but of course I never do.
For one thing, I need audible alerts and call audio from a computer that is not the VCV rack host.
For another, I don't practice enough to come up with a good patch that I would listen to for longer than ten minutes.
On the one hand I just got accepted to a show at the beginning of may.
On the other hand, what a horrible time to have no meaningful stock.
(I could pull from some consignors for the weekend maybe. Or maybe the budget will stretch to it. It's hard to say. I'm in the "caregiver fatigue" era of dealing with this rabbit thing so I haven't done the math yet.)
