With a constituency majority of just 1,700 at the last election, she has probably just doomed her political career.
Labour's homelessness minister Rushanara Ali has resigned having reportedly hiked the rent on a property she owns by hundreds of pounds - something which was described by one of her tenants as "extortion".
Reading the #LabourMP for #Sunderland post about this on Facebook earlier, I thought maybe one reason they are going for this politically is to trap #ReformUK - they can ask if that lot would do anything differently here. Not nice using people for a political trap.
If I have to #votetactically under our antiquated #FPTP system to get the #Toriesout then I will. But I won't be doing it again unless, when in office, #Labour do something meaningful to address the #climatecrisis, & develop a #greeneconomy. I have written to my local #LabourMP to tell them such, & I encourage you to do the same.
