Austrian #antifascist #KatiaLandau travelled with husband #KurtLandau to Spain to fight with the socialists in the #SpanishCivilWar. She was arrested on #ThisDayInHistory in 1937 & tortured by Soviet #NKVD, who called her a fascist. Her husband was kidnapped and killed by #NKVD.
