Tonight's #dinner:
Korean-style "fish" from the new Korean Vegan Homemade cookbook, from Joanne Lee Molinaro.
Basically a tofu and grated potato mix, seasoned with her "fishy" seasoning, backed with a sheet of nori. Coated in rice flour and fried.
The instructions could have been clearer but this was really tasty. Will make again.
Watching the new #ChefAndMyFridge episode tonight --- apparently our current Sunday night ritual. So good!
And eating #DoenjangJjigae and braised tofu, no less!
(Made the jjigae from the very reliable, very customizable #KoreanVegan recipe. With some premade braised tofu from H Mart.)
I know a lot of people today were saying "what a great day, Imma cook a spicy korean garlicky dish tonight & I bought those little tiny red peppers, hmm they can't be THAT hot + I'm pretty good with spice stuff so I'm just going to eat one raw right here, why not, I shoot from the hip what could go wrong" and I just want to tell you I'm so sorry for your mouth right now because mine is calling the police
