GuMo! Wegen Einstellung des Open-Source-Supports wechselt die #EKiR von #Kopano auf #Grommunio über den 3. Oktober. Dabei wird das Mailsystem für 4 Tage angehalten.
Wer in der Zeit also nicht frei hat - für den/die ist das die offizielle Erlaubnis zu 4 Tagen Einkehr und Gebet.
Das wäre dann gut kirchlich gelöst.

Ich bitte um einen Tipp aus der #Admin bubble. Nach einem #upgrade bei meinen #Server geht nun leider #Kopano gar nicht mehr. Kopano ist schon länger tot, lief aber noch gut mit php7.4 paralell. Doch nun gibt es zu viele Abhängigkeitsprobleme.

Ich suche einen einfach zu konfigurierenden IMAP Server für ubuntu und 5-6 postfächer, dem ich von fetchmail und getmail aus die mails übergeben kann um ihn dann über imap protokoll vom Client zu benutzen.

@ne #kopano und die Sonne scheint. Bin vor rund 4 Jahren zu Kopano gewechselt und es ist viel besser als #exchange

Ich betreibe seit Jahren eine private #Nextcloud zusammen mit einem privaten #Kopano Mailserver. Da die Community Edition von #Kopano (ich habs geliebt) leider schon länger tot ist, wirds höchste Zeit für einen Wechsel. Nur was nimmt man da? Theoretisch würde ein popeliger #Dovecot integriert in #Nextcloud reichen. Oder versuche ich mich wieder an einer Groupware und probiere mal #Grommunio
Mit Nextcloud hätte ich aber wieder 2 Groupwares was auch bescheuert ist.

Liebes #FediLZ, weiß jemand zufälligerweise, ob und wie man den Kalender von #SchulmanagerOnline mit dem Kalender des schulischen #kopano Server synchronisieren kann? @derschulmanager

I like Open Source Software. But the UI of #Kopano is that difficult to use, that I'm supporting jumping over the same issues with UX again and again. That's no fun.
If you create software. Create less features, implement them better. Really.

@freeminded We did an evaluation two years ago with the following requirements (heavily broken down):

* Runs on Linux
* Same feature set as MS Exchange (e.g. Calendar, Groupmailboxes)
* Fully Outlook compatible
* Opensource if possible

We then decided us for #Kopano, which was the only Outlook compatible solution available. Grommunio (then still called Grammm) wasn't available yet.

The Z-Push ActiveSync interface of my employer's #Kopano is that slow at times (of load), that I added IMAP for mails now. And that's way faster on my mobile.

[Oh, and it's the same way my @thunderbird works. And I really like that due to the amazing work of John Bieling who authored #TbSync, implementing #ActiveSync.]

Just increased the LVM of our mail server, did some updates and tested the IMAP gateway of Kopano... Thx for the invention of virtualization, much more relaxing 🙃 #kopano #Xen
