RayganProgress on the Banana Socks. I'm about halfway done with the first one. The pattern is normally top-down, but I prefer toe-up so I can try it on as I go. I'm working with about 82 stitches so I can get them on over my heel. As you can see from the photo, I have a very high arch and instep. Most tube socks are far too tight.

VictoriaHad my SO make me a yarn advent calender using minis I already had - the idea is it should force me to use the minis I keep collecting, while having that little bit of excitement of opening something new each day.
There will be 3 pairs of socks - 1. Tonals/solids. 2. Christmas speckled and stripes. And 3. Non christmas speckled and stripes yarn.
Whatever is left will be turned into a knit beanie!

Progress on some knit socks I started who knows when!
I'm going through my wip bin, and attempting to get down to only 5 projects left by the end of the year - most my wips are socks, so idk if I'll manage, but I'm attempting.
Today's progress is the entire leg portion (that bottom stitch marker is where I started).
Tomorrow I'll do 10 more rows, then the heel, gusset, then the foot - IF I pull all that off tomorrow, I'll be able to attempt the entire second sock this weekend 🫠 wish me luck haha

I don't enjoy knitting fine-gauge colourwork on DPNs, so I knit the cuffs/legs of these socks on the machine, then switched to hand-knitting for the plain stockinette feet. And of course, I blogged about it :)

Despite multiple issues with the way the pattern was written, I'm really happy with these finished socks! They're thick, squishy, and warm. (And yes, the legs are the same length when one sock isn't turned sideways.)

Po hodně dlouhé době dokončené ponožky. Inspiraci na vzor jsem našla tady na mastodonu, takže : Hle, jak inspirující prostředí!
Fotku jsem pořídila zrcadlovkou, a lehce upravila ve photoshopu. Úplně mi nevychází kompozice. Je to prostě jiné než mobil. Ale to pude! Co je hodně pozitivní, že mobil nedokázal zachytit tu krásnou starorůžovou, což zrcadlovka zvládla na první dobrou.

The show-off in the name refers to showing off your yarn, especially if it’s variegated. The pattern stitch is fun and easy and looks pretty in almost all yarns. In order to make the pattern more interesting, I used a different architecture - the gusset is knitted at the same time as the heel “flap” which is done in the main pattern stitch. Instructions for 3 different gusset patterns are included.
