Started another pair of socks (no, i have not finished the other two i'm working on, why do you ask? >.>) with some #KnitPicks #SimpleStripes color #61894 that i've had for at least a decade and a half... better late than never, right?? :D :D
Finished knitting my partner's sweater!
Pattern: Gib II by Andrea Mowry
Yarn: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Tweed in Flagstone Heather
I got an email back from KnitPicks! They apparently received a LOT of email and it's been taking them a while to get through it all. They apologised for that. And they're going to replace my size 6 needle tip for no extra charge! Hooray! I'm so happy! And I really recommend KnitPicks for knitting products in the future. :3
I've got a set by them of removable tips on a very long cable that I've been using since 2015 or so (this is where I first learned of them), and I bought a set of interchangeable tips of various sizes and some different cable lengths back in April 2023. One of my aluminum size 6 tips snapped on me mid-project in December and I contacted them about it.
I haven't bought any new yarn in 3 years, and ... welp.
Knitpicks has their gigantic sale ongoing and I couldn't resist. I'm frikkin' excited. Gave myself a $100 budget, and I was able to get *so* much yarn. I stuck to familiar brands that I've used in the past.
- Upcycle alpaca (have a cardigan knit with this, it pills, but it's SO comfortable)
- Aloft super kid mohair (perfect for knitting held double)
- Hawthorne fingering (socks!)
- Palette (mittens!)
