Finished #KiteMan S1. I think I finally came around to it after 4 (of the7) eps. It's every bit Golden Glider's show as it is Kite Man's, and I think it's a good balance. The two of them complement each other pretty well. And I appreciate that this is a relationship in-progress and one not in serious danger all the time, as opposed to a "will they/won't they" sitcom thing.

This is also Bane's show, too, in a lesser sense. Which is interesting. I feel like 'the powers that be' must love him as much as we do, considering how often he shows up in both this AND 'Harley Quinn', and every time he does he steals the show.

Some of the 'regulars' that fell flat for me by Ep 3 are still kind of weak, but they've grown on me a little.

I can't help but compare this show to HQ considering how direct of a spin-off it is. On it's own merits it's a fun time that succeeds despite everything. But the humor isn't quite as sharp as HQ. Maybe it's just a consequence of the line-up.

Solid 3/5 overall.

I have been enjoying #KiteMan so far. But there was a small problem i couldnt figure. I'm cool with Golden Glider. But i think the problem is I dont know how this relationship started. I think I want to see how they met, how they clicked, all that. Instead of them just popping up together suddenly. Esp if their relationship is a big thru line in the show. It would help me root for them.

Might get a flashback one ep.
