@sabinalorenz für ÖPNV kann ich dir "Öffi" wärmstens ans Herz legen.
Gibt es auch via #FDroid:

Weitere Alternativen könnten sein:
- #Transportr: https://transportr.app/
- #KDE #KTrip: https://apps.kde.org/ktrip/
- #KDEItinerary: https://apps.kde.org/itinerary/ (eher Fernverkehr, generelle Reiseplanung)

King of public transit planning!

I really shouldn't be astonished, but I am 😵.

This is, of course, utter abuse of user data, but what's even worse is that Google allows this.

#Conversations was taken off Google Play, and forced to remove its contacts linking feature for #privacy reasons, despite the fact that no contact data was ever uploaded to any servers, yet #Citymapper is allowed to share highly sensitive precise location data with third parties for the sake of #profit?!

🤬 Goodbye Citymapper!!

Thankfully we're not exactly short of #opensource alternatives: I love how #Öffi displays the timetables, but we also have #Transportr and KDE's #KTrip (which not only works on Android but also on #mobilelinux).

I don't know if you already know #transitous but if you don't it is worth to have a look at it. It's some kind of routing system #freesoftware based mainly on open protocols as well as some APIs.

It combines every kind of public transport to route, sometimes you need to check how to write start and destination, but it is anyway amazing. You can check it on https://transitous.org/

Its library or API is also used by other apps I also use such as #Ktrip and #Kitinerary, or others like GnomeMaps

@carl oh, completely forgot about #KTrip. Seeing it revived based on shared components from #KPublicTransport would be fantastic!
and #Ktrip on #plasmaMobile is buggy and shows just 2 local Italian networks on #pinephone #postmarketOS

It's kinda working it seems :) #KTrip 24.07.90, only missing some Belgium railroad providers? (I know we have our problems, but would be nice to be able to select one) :)

It seems, in Europe, a lot is publicly available. But honestly, I don't know. It just works. Folks from #transportr, #Oeffi and #KTrip should be able to answer this. Let's pull in @VolkerKrause into this. He works on #KTrip and #KDE #Itinerary (https://github.com/KDE/itinerary).

@eternaltyro @organicmaps @smallcircles @movodehe There are the folks from

#Transportr - Open Source Public Transit
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.grobox.liberario/

#KTrip -Public Transport Assistant
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.kde.ktrip/

and

#Offi - King of public transit planning!
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.schildbach.oeffi/

All of them handle public transit decently.
They are independent apps, but do what I need.
