how did we get sucked in so deep into this insanity?
#cramschool #juku
so a #haiku doesn't have to be about nature, but i was still unsatisfied bc many of my haikus are dark or heavy. & fauxku would essentially mean fake verse, not fake haiku
So i am officially creating the term #juku
"jūku" conceptually translates to a "heavy poem" or a "serious verse"
[The opposite of "hai" (俳), which conveys a sense of "lightness" or "humor," would be "jū" (重), meaning "heaviness."]

Hi Jo, and welcome!
Some interesting quotes here. It is true that Japanese #schools don't use streaming in the same way that we do in the UK and, I think, in the US. They don't have TAs either. While it does mean equal treatment, it can also mean that children with #SpecialNeeds are left to sink (usually) or swim. We also need to remember that many children attend #juku, or cram schools, after school, usually from 5 to 8 every day. 1/2
Tere!
Olen siin uus, püüan aru saada, kuidas Mastodon töötab. Olen teadlane (#vaimnetervis, #heaolu, #teadvelolek, #rahvatervis, #käitumisteadus, #psühholoogia, #PhD, #teadus, #JuKU), niisiis küllap postitan päris palju ka inglise keeles. Samas, tore on Eesti kogukonnaga sidet hoida.
