I Am Kloot, “Same Deep Water as Me” from I Am Kloot (2003)

I only know about I Am Kloot via this track that appears on a couple of compilations in my collection. They were apparently from Manchester, put out 7 studio albums between 2001 and 2014, topped it off with a live album in 2015, and called it quits.

The sweeping, atmospheric music, the impressionistic lyrics have a melancholy feel - or is it comforting? The singer’s vocals here remind me a bit of Tanita Tikarim's, and are similarly moody.
