I Am Kloot, “Same Deep Water as Me” from I Am Kloot (2003)

I only know about I Am Kloot via this track that appears on a couple of compilations in my collection. They were apparently from Manchester, put out 7 studio albums between 2001 and 2014, topped it off with a live album in 2015, and called it quits.

The sweeping, atmospheric music, the impressionistic lyrics have a melancholy feel - or is it comforting? The singer’s vocals here remind me a bit of Tanita Tikarim's, and are similarly moody.

Aaaand away I go on a deep dive into another band....

Paluu vuosituhannen alkuun ja I Am Kloot:in pariin. Yksi kaikkien aikojen debyyteistä tämän musiikin arvostajan mielestä. Vähän folkkia, paljon hauskoja rytmejä ja kaikkinensa loistavia biisejä koko albumi täynnä. Natural History on albumi, ja yksi karvoja nostattavista hetkistä tämä Stop.
