I still hate the german translation for the force in Star Wars, the german word "Macht" is much closer to the word "power" in meaning, "Kraft" would have been more accurate.
Yeah, it would have sounded funny, but I feel like there was an actual attempt in the original trilogy to make the force not about subjugation and having power (especially over others). Yes, that idea was thoroughly lost by the time of the prequels, but early Star Wars stories have the force be a lot more campy and not this all powerful magic that is tied to destiny, ruling and actual material power over others. It is just another fun thing in this universe.
A New Hope even makes fun of the idea of it being all powerful on the track to Aldeeran. It is just another way of percieving the universe.
And then later we end up with the Celestials and all that is lost... and the german translation becomes a lot more fitting.
And then it gets tied to biology aswell and even the last of the charm is lost.
Like, the original meaning of the force had already been lost by the time of the Prequels, when I mean early stories, I mean early early, the ones written before the third movie even came out. Like the Solo and Lando solo adventures for example
One project for the new laptop will be a toggleable CRT/VHS shader... which is hard to find good information about (atleast for Arch/Endeavour)? I thought this had become popular by now?
There are some kinda cursed attempts like this (not going to double run this and OBS and we would need to do the Wayland workaround, since KDE Plasma is going to stop supporting X11):
We found some people saying years ago that it can be done with kwin, but didnt leave any instructions on how, so would need to look into that:
https://github.com/KDE/kwin?tab=contributing-ov-file
Also still looking for other options, that dont end with us having to rewrite files for eternity, whenever we want to adjust a hotkey or something...
I still think that the scene with Vader ruined the ending of Rogue One
Love watching MasterChef Australia while eating, everybody always hypes each other up and it barely feels like a contest (and food should never be about competition, it is honestly laughable to rank something like food in any real sense)
