Honoring an old tradition with new materials. 🌿✂️

St. Brigid's Cross is one of Ireland's oldest symbols — traditionally woven from rushes on February 1st to mark Imbolc and welcome in the light of spring. I made mine from paper, and honestly? The folding is almost meditative.

Four steps. Two hands. One very ancient symbol.

Have you ever made one? 👇

We’re delighted to share that artist Ciara Kenny (@Ciaraioch) has created a stunning series of sketches celebrating Irish Traditional Crafts – capturing the tools, techniques, and artistry that have been passed down through generations of makers.

Her work will be on display at this year’s Dublin Maker, where you can see the sketches up close and join us in celebrating the spirit of Irish making.
