#Ring could (as can choose to) share video with #Flock or local police and therefore #ICE, except† if end to end encryption is enabled, but that prevents other users (e.g spouse, children) from seeing live and stored video on their devices. Ridiculous. Ring creates an encryption passcode string it tells you to save. They don't let you install that passcode on devices you choose to share access with to allow encrypted sharing? Why? Unencrypted video can be used to make money, of course. Disabling essential features for security is a trade off most users won't make.

† Sure, Ring states they don't share if you say no to a request email you can opt out of, however their poor record with privacy issues and data leaks means you have to trust them. Do you trust them? Do you feel lucky?
