ProjectAinitaThe Permanent Working Group on Passive Defense in #Iran approved the "National Strategic Document on Electronic Passive Defense" to strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure against electronic threats. The 10-year roadmap highlights the country’s heavy reliance on electronic systems, communications networks, satellites, and the electromagnetic spectrum as key vulnerabilities.
It assigns the Ministry of Communications responsibility for preparing alternative telecom and #Internet routes and enabling the connection or disconnection of external networks from the National Information Network (#NIN) during crises. The document also calls for protecting the national frequency spectrum, including against #satellite Internet services, to safeguard cyber sovereignty.
