I like using elipsis...a lot...maybe too much..
I play. A lot..
Juggling, wing foil, cubing(rubiks), cameras, kites, 3d printing, cycling etc...

I'm interested in machine learning (techno-cautious), using technology for social good, and uncovering insights from data to inform policy. Looking to learn from peers and experts in these spaces.

I also love learning languages and am currently learning German on Duolingo! 🦉

I wasn't doing too great for a couple of years but I'm excited to get back to learning, and putting my skills to work to solve the challenges ahead of us. 😄

As I'm moving instances, I figure I should write a new introduction post!
Hi, I'm Kaylie, a Rust/C/C#/[a dozen assembly languages] programmer with an interest in game development, hardware (esp embedded and not-consumer-desktop, GPUs are also cool as of late), hiking, cats (self explanatory), codegolf, factorio, optimization problems, writing music, and probably other things I forgot when writing this.

I've done some FOSS work as well, primarily on RobustToolbox, a 2D MUD/MMO engine and Space Station 14, alongside an expanded set of UI tools for RobustToolbox, some small contributions to The Powder Toy (a great little toy btw!), and some other stuff like emulator development.

I also do some music stuff, primarily a short little album of my first Good experiments in ambient music that I hope to expand on with new releases eventually.

Hi all, I thought it would be nice to do my #IntroductoryPost

I am a Hellenic pagan from Athens, Greece. My name is Yannis but Lycophron is how they call me inside the Greek pagan community. I am an IT professional soon to turn 50.

I am a conscious follower of the Hellenic religion for the last 25 years. I took a very active part to the rise of our movement, sadly I could not prevent its fall but I don't get disappointed; I prepare myself for the next cycle 🙂

In my journey, I am happy that, with my community, we were probably the first ones (in the modern age) to perform public rituals in Greek temples and I thank the gods we were able to do so. I am also glad to have met with pagans around the world, from other traditions and learn things from them.

Apart from Hellenic Polytheism, I adore music. Most of the times I listen to Rock, Pop, Classical (Barocque and modern mostly) but I always keep my ears open to new sounds.

I speak Greek (native speaker), English (obviously!) French and Spanish.

I guess I should do a #introductorypost

I'm Ellie, a trans woman from the UK clinging onto the last few weeks of her 20s. My pronouns are she/her. I'm queer and autistic, so it's no surprise I'm always tired.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time playing, watching, talking or thinking about trading card games. Primarily #yugioh and #pokemontcg, but I've been known to dabble in others.

I also:
* get very geeky about #coffee
* read a lot of #fantasy (but never read as much as I wish I did)
* play a hell of a lot of modded #minecraft

I don't really have any expectations for how I'll be using the fediverse; I'm usually more of a lurker than an active participant on social media. I can only wait and see!

In lieu of an #IntroductoryPost, here's some #cheesesteak advice.

If you're visiting the #Philly area, it's worth trying a cheesesteak. Within 50 miles of #Philadelphia, just about any local pizzeria will have a decent cheesesteak. No need to go anywhere special.

Like onions? Get onions.
Cheese wiz, American, and Provolone are all reasonable options; get what you like. That's all: it's simple fare.

You can ask for green peppers or mushrooms, but now it's a pepper steak or a mushroom steak.
