Next, we're turning our attention to the mountains in the distance and the rolling hills in the foreground. The Independence Mine area is surrounded by mountains on all side and what you see in this scene is just a fraction of what can be experienced around this location.

After the clouds and sky, I spent some time on the stone chimney, as well as the red roof and red window frames. The detail work of the chimney took the most time here, but details are also the most rewarding!

The next few sessions were spent on adding clouds to the background. Or, at least, attempting to do so. The clouds on this particular day were a bit wild to say the least, so I did my best to at least get something resembling clouds on paper. I'll be back to work a bit more on these towards the end.
