I've been #ImmersionLearning #French since the beginning of February, and my chosen book is Victor Hugo's #LesMiserables.

Very early in the book, I came across a sentence: "l'évêque le percevait sur les riches avec d'autant plus d'âpreté qu'il le donnait aux pauvres."

Which means, "the bishop collected [fees] from the rich with all the more harshness as he gave them to the poor."

What an idea!

Started reading ヲタクに恋は難しい because I enjoyed the anime (subtitled), and it's a lot harder than よつばと and even また、同じ夢を見ていた. I guess subject matter (adults talking to adults vs adults/children talking to children) makes a bigger difference than format (manga vs novel).

State of my anki deck right now.

Cards in yellow (41 cards) are removed and put in an archive deck, blue cards (45 cards) are new cards I've not seen yet.

I'm doing alright, most of my cards are mature in this deck so I need to keep on top of just adding new stuff.

In my archive deck (it has cards from all sorts of decks), I currently have 2,367 cards that have been retired from spanish studies. I'll check back on how many I have overall after today.

Not all of the retired cards were T1 cards, most of these were cards where I didn't know almost all of the words in each sentence and it was like hell to get through that stage and learn. 😅 I think I know what I'd do better next time. #anki #languagelearning #ImmersionLearning #Spanish #Refold #Immersion #LanguageLearning #anki

I've let my studies dip a little bit. I've been thinking so much about this new job and worrying that it's been hard to fit Spanish and motivation for Spanish into my brain rn.

I'm trying to keep on keeping on though. The best I can.
