One thing I would really like to see Apple rewrite in Xcode + friends is the Simulator management logic.
It should be easier to delete simulators, and easier to detect and purge orphaned entries. I mean, automatically would be nice and is really the minimum required here. #iosDev
I read the first paragraph of this week’s iOS Dev Weekly and the nicest thing I can say is we have a fundamental difference of opinion.
I don’t give a shit if Apple gets AI “right” I would prefer they rip most of it out and get back to making good software, tools and frameworks.
I already don’t read most of the newsletters I get as they are 87% AI bullshit. I don’t need to get more frustrated and sad about tech.

Well, I think it’s time for a public beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/baWAQ4tj
I’ve been working on this since late last year and need to get some fresh eyes on it before I ship it. Appreciate anyone taking a look, any and all feedback is appreciated! #iOSDev #IndieDev #BuildInPublic
So, do you guys think there’s going to be something that redefines how we work at WWDC?
I don’t think there’s anything fundamental like Swift, SwiftUI or even LLM. #iOSDev
