This tree is known as African Mangosteen, African Yellow-Milkwood, and in tshiVenda it’s known as Muphiphi, which is fun to say, but we all know it better by the xiTsonga Imbe or Imbi. It’s one of our favourite mangosteens and one of a handful that do well in Central Florida. They are some of the slowest growing trees and dioecious so be patient and plant it with some friends.
