Tulip Loops Vest by Other Loops in progress. I'm using Harrisville Designs Highlands, a worsted weight 100% wool yarn. The yarn feels very dry and rough but I know it will be soft after washing, if my gauge swatch is telling the truth 🤭. Those cables are hard on my hands but they are just lovely, aren't they? #knittersofmastodon

My other finished object took me next to no time from cast on to bind off. This is the Elise Scarf by Susanne Müller https://ravel.me/elise-scarf-4 I held two leftover yarns double throughout and I still have some left over

ELISE Scarf pattern by Susanne Müller

My sweater smelled really sheep-y during rain-filled days. Come to think of it, the two times that I wore it, water from the skies poured like mad. The wool must be a rain magnet, hahaha.

Little twigs pattern by Melody Hoffmann

Little twigs in a yoke sweater worked from the bottom up. You start off by knitting the sleeves (though that’s totally optional) then cast on for the body.

When one has too much yarn on her hands....

I finished my first Shima Tee in April (left photo). Seeing that I have enough yarn to make another shirt, I did that but reversed the colors. I finished the second one in November (right photo). It differed a bit in terms of striping. My gauge is the same for both shirts but I lost some weight between then and now.

Houston, we have fraternal twins.

Summer vibes
I hate how hot it is in Manila. It's not enough to be hot, it's gotta be sticky and humid too.
I wore my latest finished shirt last Sunday when my knitting friends and I met. It was cool enough to not reduce me to a melted mess. Pattern is Shima Tee by Noriko Ichikawa. I used Berroco Modern Cotton DK.

Remember that sweater I started in January? I finished it a long time ago. So here it is, in all its finished glory. I will knit a companion piece in this length so I end up with a tunic sweater. It looks good on me too, don't you think? The pattern, BTW, is Tea With Jam and Bread by Heidi Kirrmaier.

My double thick reversible hat is done. Even though it was a sea of stockinette from start to finish, I enjoyed the mindless knitting. The free pattern is Double Thick Hat by Kareema Ali https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/double-thick-hat
Next I need to plan which freezing location we're going to so I can wear this hat loud and proud.

Ehem, new favorite finished object... This is Isabell Kraemer's Fjolla which I made with short sleeves. The yarn is Knitting For Olive Pure Silk. The third skein was of a different dye lot so I made sure I alternated skeins. Altogether a very satisfying finish for me.
