I've been trying to get into #HumankindGame and #Civ7 again, but the more I play them, the more I realize how much I love the #colonysim genre.
I mostly just ignore the conflict as best I can and build up everything, getting irritated when interaction from the AI starts impeding me. Often I don't find the strategy of combat tactically or narratively fulfilling, so it's more of an annoyance than a challenge.

The second part is that the next Beta for Humankind, the Dante Beta, is now available.
Details of this update include that military units will be consuming food and related adjustments, a new persona (surprise: Dante), and challenges have now been disabled (after they were granted to everyone), due to technical glitches in them.

Amplitude has released the latest DLC for #Humankind #HumankindGame, the “Cultures of Oceania” DLC, and it includes, among other things 6 wew cultures and 6 new wonders.
The DLC is currently discounted by 10%, to 8.09 instead of 8.99, and will be available with discount until September 21.

It was interesting to see today Humankind was just released to Xbox Game Pass.
I remember I had it pre-loaded when it was going to come out (in November), and then just days before it was due to be released it was removed, and delayed. I totally forgot about it. It looked interesting.
I will have to try and find some time to see what it's like.
