October is my #Killers month for my little #Horrorfest marathon. I think I've watched the movie #Halloween pretty much every year at Halloween since I was 15 years old. Eventually I started adding other horror movies until it became a 5-month marathon. October is dedicated to #Slasherflicks & #Serialkillers & I have a killer list of some films, series & even documentaries that I have on disc, saved on the pvr or found on Tubi & Disney+. #horror

I went with four #horror movies I’ve seen and liked or loved — and would like to see again. EVIL DEAD 2 and ASYLUM are all-time favorites for me. STOKER is great and weird and an interesting Hitchcock riff. NEXT OF KIN has all sorts of Gothic horror vibes in an Ozsploitation wrapper.

I finally reached the part of my #FamilyBonds marathon where I get to the fucked up families. I come from a fucked up family not as fucked up as these movies go but still a fucked up family. Today I have Flowers in the attic, People under the stairs, the Stepfather 2009 version & Mama. I guess since I saved these movies to the very end my #Horrorfest marathon is unofficially starting early this year.

I'm getting excited for my next marathon which is 5 months long & is broken into 5 categories, my own version of #Horrorfest. This year there's #Disasters, #Undead, #Killers, #Possession & #CreatureFeatures. I needed to beef up the Disaster category a bit so I rearranged a category I called Infected by taking out some of the infections & leaving it with vampires, zombies & other undead inhabitants that don't slide into the other categories. Sadly, I won't have access to Shudder this year.
