This is absolutely right, @ConversationUK - as was pointed out today in an article in the @guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/news/2026/may/14/after-a-hard-fought-victory-to-legalise-medical-cannabis-in-the-uk-why-is-it-still-so-hard-to-access. And it is completely wrong - #medical #cannabis ought to be available on the #NHS, & people shouldn't have to go #private to obtain it. Furthermore, #possession of cannabis for #personal #use needs to be #decriminalised.

Why is it delusional (mohā) to say the body is me, mine, or myself? Because the body's matter/energy constantly change, move, become different. There is nothing stable there to call a substance or essence. The same is true of thoughts and feelings. It's like calling a flowing river 'me'.

Bodies are a type of hardware. Being attached to them, desiring them, etc is a type of materialism. People's obsessions with 'who' looks most beautiful is actually with whose mind HAS (ie, possesses, occupies, etc) the most beautiful body.
