My neighbor came through, and now I have my very own Zip drive!

Can't wait to start saving up to 100MB of data at a time. This feels like the future.

Intel suggests it was snubbed by Crimson Desert dev after reaching out "many times" about Arc GPUs – company says it provided "early hardware, drivers, and engineering resources" to studio

Intel has shifted the blame for a lack of Arc GPU in Crimson Desert back on developer Pearl Abyss, saying it's reached out to the studio "many times" over the past several years.

I am so disappointed that most hardware reviewers only compare new models to the corresponding previous model. Only a tiny percentage of people are going to upgrade from Gen4 to Gen5 while a vast number of people will be on Gen 1 thru Gen 3 wondering about the optimal time to upgrade. Show me what a new product offers over 2 or more generations back please! 🙏

Meta is funding six external research studies to advance its surface electromyography (EMG) wristband technology, which detects electrical activity in the wrist and hand to translate into digital commands. Each university team receives 150,000 USD to explore how users learn sEMG-based controls and how onboarding can be streamlined. The research could shape future AR devices. https://www.roadtovr.com/meta-emg-input-wearables-research-grant/ #Metaverse #VR #AR #Hardware #Meta
Meta Shows Confidence in EMG Input for Wearables by Funding Six External Studies

Meta announced it’s tapped six external teams to receive a research grant in order to advance work on its surface electromyography (sEMG) based wristband controller. Meta revealed in a blog post it’s launched a research funding initiative focused on improving how users learn and interact with sEMG systems, having chosen six universities out of 70 global …
