to be ashamed of it
to remove it
(to be a “proper woman”)
then i slowly unlearnt
(still unlearning)
today i accept it
even like it
more and more
although it’s strange
‘cause people use to stare at it
sometimes i remove it again
because it looks pretty too
or for practical reasons
like going into nature (to spot ticks more quickly)
or cycling (to drive at light speed)
but most of the time

Chaichi's ChaikhanaI've been making a type of #halawa (#halva) that's created with a base of powdered sugar, milk powder, and #tahini paste, and it's going okay-ish.
Maybe it's my early attempts, but I'm not getting as much sesame seed flavor, and I'm right there at putting in enough tahina to have excess oil leach. Tried adding a couple of pinches of salt, but that was at least 1 pinch too many.
Next thought is condensing the tahina by separating the oil, or playing with the sweetness ratios.
