I subscribe to political party emails in the UK. Here's the start of one I got today (28th Aug 2023). I think it's a fine example of how politics is being dragged into the gutter.

It is difficult to believe but Sunak is every bit as much a nasty piece of work as Bozo. This is nasty, vicious, unbecoming, gutter politics of the lowest form.

And I don't see how this is supposed to help Sunak convince waverers to vote Tory.

@CEMedia One of the things Corbyn should be remembered for is his refusal to engage in name-calling and gutter poltics at PMQs. Instead he brought real life problems from constituents in an attempt to debate. His decency at the despatch box was frequently howled down by the Tories.
Compare and contrast.
