Modes on the Guitar
The Seven Modes> Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian , Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian. Experiment with these to add flavor to your music! The Ionian mode is more popularly known as the Major Scale. C Ionian - Position 1 C Ionian - Position 2 C Ionian - Position 3
Scale Shapes - Minor Pentatonic
The first pattern of each shape has the scale notes, the second has the fingering. The root note is circled. These are all in A, but you can shift the 'key note' to play other keys.
