🧵 /3 Peeping under the vent at the NE end of the tunnel. The SW end is tensioned right down, as there can be savage winds from that direction and the bottom / top ventilation opposite ends creates a nice convection, even with no wind.
To off-the-shelfers this may look very tatty, but I see perfection in the home-grown-sourcing, re-use, salvaging and repurposing of practically everything visible. The only new manufactured materials are the membrane itself and the woven groundcover fabric used to line the beds, with its extreme durability and many uses.
Decided to add a centre post to straighten the now sagging "ridge" beam yesterday, as we have storms forecast, and it'll help avoid puddling.
