Started today off right. Turns out the secret to enjoying #grapenuts is making sure your overall cereal mixture is mostly #berries. Used up some of the #salmonberries that I foraged earlier this week too!
Doc says my #cholesterol is high. Bloodwork agrees.
I eat a lot of vegetables, but I figure I can/should get more fiber. So I've added a meal to my #breakfast rotation with these approximate ratios:
Half cup of #GreekYogurt (Fage 2%)
3/4 cup of #GrapeNuts cereal
Cup of #blueberries
Half cup of unsalted mixed #nuts
Handful of #PineNuts
A cup of milk
It's no fishy ramen, but still not a bad way to start off the day. Easy to swap in different fruits, or to add a spoonful of honey to the mix.
I happen to like #GrapeNuts.
Recipe 1
Grape Nuts, mixed berries, protein powder*, cocoa powder, a few bits of dark chocolate.
Recipe 2
Grape Nuts, raw almonds, protein powder*, a little sugar, and a little cinammon.
*I get the unflavored, unsugared stuff. The flavored ones are simply 🤮.
